NEWBY HOSPITAL
PROJECT TYPE
Branding
ROLE
Project lead/Art Direction
Newby Hospital is a startup women's hospital in Accra, Ghana. The client wanted a brand that was both innovative and culturally relevant, and I had the privilege of developing the brand identity.

The logo I designed is made up of three basic elements; a Ghanaian fertility doll, a purple tulip and the form of a woman lifting her hands in freedom.
The Akuaba doll of Ghana's Akan tribe is a symbol of fertility and motherhood. This is depicted in the negative space of the logotype. The tulip flower overlaps the female form lifting her hands to show the freedom she gets from Newby Hospital.
